On November 2, Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens will celebrate its 40th annual Race for the Arts. All proceeds benefit six local arts organizations, and the race has raised over $4 million for its beneficiaries over the last four decades.
What many do not know is that Steeplechase is surrounded by traditions that impact the community in other ways as well. Our favorite example? The annual Steeplechase Children's Art Contest, which is open to children across the Chattahoochee Valley and awards prizes to winners of all ages.

"The children's art contest represents the primary mission of the Steeplechase, to highlight the arts in our community," said Mason Lampton, Chairman of Steeplechase. " I am always amazed by the children's work from across the entire valley and empathize with the hard decisions the judges have to make. The winners show incredible talent and promise of a bright future in art."
This year's Best in Show went to young artist Jaclyn Chung, a ninth grader at Brookstone School. First place ribbons were given in different divisions and awarded to DaNylah Patrick, a second grader from Rigdon Road Elementary, Kilaymene Rojas, an 8th grader at Midland Middle School.Lucy Bell, a 10th grader at Brookstone, Caitlyn Quaalz, a 12th grader at St. Anne-Pacelli.
Finalists in the contest were celebrated with a reception at the RiverCenter earlier this week. Each of the students' art was on display and prizes were awarded in front of their families and special guests. "I am so impressed by the talent of the young artists in our area," said Hannah Mize, this year's Steeplechase Art Contest Chair. "This event is so special because it gives our community the opportunity to celebrate these artists and showcase their amazing work."

At 10 DPO (Days Past Ovulation), you may start noticing early signs of pregnancy, though it's still too early to confirm with certainty. Common symptoms include mild cramping, breast tenderness, bloating, mood swings, and fatigue https://femia.health/health-library/getting-pregnant/trying-to-conceive/10-dpo/. Some women may experience implantation bleeding, a small amount of spotting caused by the fertilized egg attaching to the uterus lining. However, a negative test at this stage doesn't necessarily mean you're not pregnant, as hCG levels might still be too low to detect. For more personalized guidance, it's recommended to visit Femia Health.
I would like to know what to expect on day 10 post ovulation (DPO). What signs might indicate pregnancy during this period? What changes in the body should I pay attention to? Are there ways to know for sure if I am pregnant or is it too early to take a test? Are symptoms such as breast pain or mood changes reliable signs? Any advice or experience would be appreciated.
